We are a business-to-business chemical supplier. We only ask for the details we need to answer your enquiry and supply your order, we do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

2. What we collect and why
| When | Personal data | What we use it for |
|---|---|---|
| You submit the Request a Quote or Contact form | Name, company name, phone / WhatsApp number, email address, and what you type about your requirement (chemical, quantity, delivery location, packaging, required-by date, notes) | To reply to your enquiry, check availability, send a quotation, follow up on that enquiry and, if you place an order, to process and deliver it |
| You call, WhatsApp or email us (including via the buttons on this site) | Your phone number / email address, name, and the content of your messages | To respond to you and handle your enquiry or order |
| You place an order with us | Contact person, billing / delivery address, GST details and order records | To invoice, deliver, provide documents (COA, SDS) and meet our tax and legal record-keeping obligations |
| You browse this website | Usage information collected by Google Analytics 4 (pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device and browser type, how you arrived at the site, and actions such as clicking a call / WhatsApp button or submitting a form), using cookies — see Section 5 | To understand which pages and products are useful and improve the website |
| Any visit | Technical data such as IP address, browser and time of request, processed by our hosting provider | To deliver the website securely and protect it against abuse |
Please do not send us sensitive personal data (for example bank card details, passwords or health information) through the website forms or chat. We do not need it to answer an enquiry.
3. Why we are allowed to use it
When you fill in a form, call, email or WhatsApp us, you are voluntarily giving us your details so that we can respond to that specific request. We use them only for that purpose and the related purposes listed above, on the basis of your consent (shown by submitting the form after reading this notice) and the “legitimate uses” permitted under Section 7 of the DPDP Act, including data you voluntarily provide for a specified purpose and processing needed to comply with law. Website analytics cookies are used to improve the site; you can block them at any time (Section 5).
You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to sales@surajchemicals.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out, and we may still keep records we are legally required to keep (for example, invoices for orders already supplied).
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website and our business, and only as much as they need:
- Netlify, Inc. — hosts this website and stores the enquiry forms you submit.
- Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 (website usage statistics), Google Fonts (the typefaces used on this site, which your browser downloads from Google) and Google Maps (the map shown on our Contact page).
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) — if you choose to message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.
- Our email and telephone service providers — to send and receive your emails and calls.
- Transport and logistics partners — the delivery contact name, phone number and address needed to deliver an order you have placed.
- Authorities — where required by law, for example tax authorities or regulators responsible for hazardous chemicals, or in response to a lawful request.
Some of these providers process data on servers outside India. Where that happens, it is done in line with the DPDP Act and any restrictions the Government of India notifies on transfers.
5. Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4, which sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_<ID>, typically lasting up to two years) to count visits and understand how the site is used. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We do not use advertising, remarketing or social-media tracking cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The website works normally without analytics cookies. The Google Maps embed on our Contact page is provided by Google and may set its own cookies when it loads.
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for:
- Enquiries that do not lead to an order — kept while we are responding and following up, then deleted once no longer needed, or sooner if you ask us to delete them.
- Customer and order records — kept for as long as the business relationship continues and afterwards for the period required by law (for example, the record-keeping periods under GST law).
- Website analytics — held by Google Analytics under the data-retention setting of our account.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it, and the identities of those we have shared it with;
- Correction, completion and updating of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Erasure of data that is no longer needed (unless the law requires us to keep it);
- Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it;
- Grievance redressal — to raise a complaint with us and receive a response; and
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.
To use any of these rights, email sales@surajchemicals.com with the subject “Personal data request”, telling us what you would like us to do. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
8. Security
The website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections and uses modern browser security headers. Form submissions and business records are accessible only to our team members who need them, and we use reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; if a personal data breach affecting you occurs, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.
9. Children
This website is intended for businesses and adults buying industrial chemicals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version.
