FAQs

SunPac questions, answered

What is SunPac?

SunPac is Suraj Chemicals' own Sun Brand poly aluminium chloride (PAC), supplied as a pale yellow powder in grades SC11 and SC12.

What standard is SunPac specified to?

Both grades are specified against IS 15573:2018, with each parameter tied to its test method on the specification sheet.

What is the difference between SC11 and SC12?

SC11 is specified in more detail — it adds sulphate, heavy-metal limits (mercury, arsenic, cadmium, lead, iron, manganese, chromium, selenium), total organic carbon and insolubles, and is free from organic contaminants. SC12 is the shorter specification (aluminium, basicity, chloride, bulk density, pH) with chloride at 36.0% max and 25 kg PP bags.

What is the aluminium content?

Both grades specify aluminium as Al₂O₃ at 28.0% minimum and relative basicity at 35.0% minimum.

What is the shelf life?

24 months from the date of manufacturing.

Can I download the specification sheet and MSDS?

Yes. Each grade has its own specification sheet and MSDS on its product page and on this page.
